At Guangdong Girafe New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly GIRAFE FINE CHEMICAL Co., Ltd.), we uphold our cherished tradition of organizing an annual all-employee travel activity. This endeavor is designed to enrich our employees’ extracurricular cultural life, alleviate work pressure, enhance interaction among staff, and boost our corporate cohesion. From April 15th to 19th, 2017, our entire team embarked on a five-day journey to Vietnam, known as the “country on motorcycles,” to experience its unique charm.
Vietnam, bordering China, boasts rich tourism resources and a subtropical climate with abundant sunshine throughout the year, making it perfect for short-term leisure and relaxation. The local customs and traditions are profound, and the dietary habits are similar to those in China. Tropical fruits are abundant, and the aroma of coffee fills the air, offering an immersive experience.
Let me take you on a journey through the Vietnamese landscape:
Our itinerary for this charming trip was distinctive, allowing us to wander through Ho Chi Minh City, known as the “Little Paris of the East,” cruise along the Mekong River, the longest in Southeast Asia, and feel the vibe of Vung Tau, Vietnam’s Pattaya.
First Stop: Ho Chi Minh City
Once a French colony, Ho Chi Minh City retains the title of “Little Paris of the East.” Here, you can experience the fusion of Eastern Athens and Western romance. Many colonial-era buildings have been preserved, offering a unique flavor as you stroll down the streets.
Second Stop: Mekong River
Have you watched the movie “Operation Mekong”? It showcases the vast and spectacular Mekong River. The Mekong flows through China, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Cruising along the Mekong in Vietnam on a fishing boat, you’ll be captivated by the scenic fishing villages along the way, bringing a sense of tranquility to your heart.
Third Stop: Vung Tau
After experiencing the urban rhythm of Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, a port city in southern Vietnam, offers a relaxed atmosphere of a seaside town, making it an excellent summer resort. Walking on the soft sand of its ten-kilometer-long beach, with the sea waves constantly lapping at your feet and the sea breeze blowing, all your worries seem to disappear into the ocean.
Though good times fly by, the laughter and joy shared by all employees throughout the trip speak volumes about its success. This much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of work not only broadened our horizons but also fostered deeper camaraderie among colleagues. On behalf of all employees, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the company for organizing this Vietnamese adventure. Upon returning, we will continue to work diligently and repay the company with our best efforts.
